The very well highlighted situation with unexpected visits of militia to our Community Centre has received a great amount of international attention. Among others, it has been addressed by Human Rights Watch, which released a press release on 17 April. Labrys has also sent an Individual Communication to UN Special Rapporteurs on Arbitrary Detention; Promotion and Protection of the right to freedom of opinion and expression; Violence against women, its causes and consequences; Situation of human rights defenders. We are currently waiting for a response from them and possible reaction from Kyrgyz authorities.
